The rooftop bar's live music added a lovely atmosphere, while the breakfast with freshly baked pastries was a delightful start to each day.

The room we got, twin room, was practical.

Extensive and rich breakfast with food like cereals and fruit. Excellent and unbeatable location in Tavira near the Centre and the ferry to the beach, the local restaurants of which there are many to choose from and Olhao/tavira.

So glad we choose it, it's excellent base for staying in Tavira.

Fairly clean, modernized hotel with efficient and active staff with an extra staff member. Particularly good and fab location in a very pleasant area right by ferry for Tavira Island which is stunning, bars and restaurants in the centre of the town and the taxi to the airport. Again, walking distance to a medieval castle.

The Hotel was in a central position for walking around Tavira and for catching the boat to take you to the beaches. We found the Hotel of a very high standard, the room was spacious, very clean and well maintained. We requested a double bed and high floor and this was provided. I liked the indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi, lovely after a days sightseeing or a swim before breakfast. We stayed on a b&b basis, the breakfast was very good, with plenty of choice, the tables were cleared promptly and supplies were replenished promptly. The staff at the Hotel were friendly and courteous, and even supplied us with a packed breakfast on our very early morning departure! Would return to this Hotel

i booked recently refurbished and decent sized room with lovely view and balcony, as example.

There were a bit hard beds, and not so great views.

We had a great, relaxed holiday. Tavira is a lovely old town and the best places to see were within walking distance of the hotel. Great, large swimming pool. Good food and hotel services. And certainly worth the price we paid.. I certainly recommend Hotel Porta Nova and would go back there.

Stunning and peaceful location to Old Town.

Beautiful decor, great food and friendly and efficient service.

Nice cultivated family...a 17 th century manoir.....If you are overvolume, room shower is too small....use common bath room..... dont expect elevator.

The hotel is positioned well within the city and offers great views across the Ria Formosa to the sea.

The hotel room was very 'tired' and the beds were uncomfortable. The hotel is in need of a serious upgrade

Recommend it for couples looking for a special getaway

The rooftop bar was a game changer man the views were lovely and the drinks just kept flowing it was the perfect place to unwind after a long day plus they had a live pianist at breakfast that brought a nice vibe it was like a soundtrack to our morning
